SFC Energy has signed a contract to acquire Simark Controls Ltd., a Canadian value added distributing company with product integration and manufacturing expertise for power products, instrumentation and automation. Simark provides instrumentation and measurement systems, power components and drives, security and surveillance equipment ? all popular applications for EFOY products ? for various applications in the oil & gas industry as well as in the mining, forestry and community supply markets.
The news follows the announcement last month that SFC Energy had been selected by Convergint Technologies to provide EFOY Pro fuel cells to power surveillance trailers for Canadian oil and gas sites.
This acquisition of Simark follows that of power supply specialist PBF Group in 2011 and is a further move towards the repositioning of SFC Energy as a systems provider.
